“We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us.” Joseph Campbell

Unprecedented. Unparalleled. Unpredictable.

We see these phrases more and more as this pandemic wave crests over our companies, our families, our lives. We are in a “big pause” now—and we have seen that each of us has been impacted by the new world in which we live. We don’t know what, we don’t how, and we don’t know when, but we DO know things will be different going forward. We also know that as we emerge from this “big pause”, the pace of change will accelerate as our collective resistance to change has all but disappeared. You have the unique opportunity to stop, reflect and accelerate your business out of the pandemic as well. It is all a matter of mindset.

How we choose to operate in this new world is really up to us. We have been in touch with CEOs around the country and have worked with our clients to help them emerge stronger. Over the next 4 weeks, we will have a four-part ‘essentials’ series for CEOs on how a growth mindset will help you reset your thinking, reset your business, and realign your team.

The Four Essentials we will reinforce:

1. Check Your Anxiety at the Door. This is HARD. Even if you are experiencing fear, worry and doubt as a leader, in Part 1 we will discuss how to avoid a crisis mindset and embrace a new vision of your company’s future. It is also time for you as a leader to show empathy, compassion and vulnerability.

2. Embrace the Creativity of Others. It’s time to leverage the collective wisdom of those around you. This is a time to remember that ‘all of us is smarter than one of us’. In Part 2, we will discuss why it is more important than ever to meet with your team (more, not less), be curious, and engage others. Remove your filters about what can work and what can’t.

3. Instill an Ownership Mindset. We hear over and over again that ‘we are all in this together’. Each person in your organization needs to adopt an ownership mindset to rediscover your competitive advantage, reallocate resources, and play the long game. It is also the time to stay laser-focused on your purpose.

4. Be Intentional and Aligned. It is time to get clear, get focused, and overcommunicate. The more aligned you are, the faster you go. Period.

Growth is in your power—it is about intentional choice. We embrace that mindset and hope you come along with us on this journey. If you’d like to share your best practices, please let us know at info@trinitasadvisors.com. We will share them as we go!
